Washington, DC – Twenty-First Century Democrats congratulates Gabby Giffords and her campaign for their victory in Arizona’s 8th congressional district. Giffords was one of 34 candidates endorsed by Twenty-First Century Democrats, the nation’s 13th largest political action committee, during the 2006 election cycle.

Young, president of Twenty-First Century Democrats. “Gabby will make a positive difference in Congress on the real issues facing Southern Arizona. Throughout this congressional race, Giffords consistently maintained a significant lead in the polls against Republican Randy Graf. As US Representative for Arizona’s 8th congressional district, Gabby will push for policies expanding health care to all citizens, creating high wage jobs for her constituents, and preserving the natural resources of the state. Gabby’s strong business background and her commitment to public service will allow her to bring about positive changes as a legislator.
