NRCC Dumps $1.2 Million into Illinois' 14

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) has dumped more than one-third of it’s total cash on hand into the Special Election in Illinois’ 14th Congressional District. Republicans are scrambling to hold onto this perennially Republican seat in the face of a strong challenge from Illinois Democrat Bill Foster. Even presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain made a stop in the district last month to raise money for Foster’s opponent, Jim Oberweis.
